Couldn't tell on that replay of the throw was off or if he just didn't catch it. Louisville has definitely lucked out on the interceptions. Has nothing to do with ball hawking.

High hard and short passes lead to tipped balls which leads to interceptions. They should know this. Like the effort but have to do it!
