Mafia Legends Game Thread - Mafia Wins

also, i didnt go in to hiding. i legit went to the nats game and didnt check my phone, and then i had meetings.
 
Awesome... two majority rounds on civs to end the game. Bad game by the civs all around this time. BGs protecting each other, a cop that gets hit and doesn't leave any clues (except false ones), a bunch of bad vanilla civ play... just a mess. Still, you have to do something right to win, so good job mafia. Thanks for running the game, eagles and QT.
 
Yeah, we were almost positive isle was the cop, so our rationale for the fake cop was threefold:

1. Cause general confusion.
2. Eliminate isle and our other potential cop suspect, diego, before they had a chance to come out next round.
3. Take some heat off me when the civs inevitably looked back at isle's voting record and saw he voted for me. I was the one who cast the sixth vote on BDZ to put him way ahead, which made him "panic" and out himself.
 
yeah. the big reason was both bdz and tr had a lot of heat. we figured sacrifice one and hope we could either get the cop to out himself or nail him with one of the kills, and then we'd also give tr some cred for forcing bdz to come out. it didnt end up mattering though cause the cits just went haywire when we nailed isle.

This is the longest mafia post from TR that I can remember.
 
Yeah, once Isle went down, the civs basically rolled over. Too bad. The biggest plus from the fake cop routine was that it sent everyone into total confusion in the subsequent rounds. Didn't expect that.

The funny thing about that was the last two or three rounds almost the entire mafia was voting for lokis. We were the only ones keeping the spotlight on him.

OGB not falling asleep at the wheel after the fake cop ploy was one of the few positives for the civilians in this game.
 
To be fair Da should have been whining. He was on top of things 100% and people kept saying how badly he was playing.

And although BDZ was against the fake cop, I should point out that he pulled it off better than anyone else on our team, and probably anyone else playing, could have. So major props to him.
 
The whole Phan/Nonny thing in Day 1 totally had me confused once Nonny was shown to have been mafia. Especially as the mafia vig, and not using the hit on Night 1.

It is funny - the silent ones always go unnoticed, and I'd put BDZ, TR, Sleepy and NH in that category this game (NoVa some too). The cits who are actually talking get so obsessed with picking everything they're saying apart that the quiet ones never get brought into the discussion.

Fun to play a game again. Thanks for running to Eagles, QT and BDZ for organizing.
