Man kills lion; internet proceeds to take down man

So the people of Zimbabwe have more perspective than the WFU soapbox crowd. Probably why we can't crack the Forbes top 50.

I love how everyone apparently has Sunday dinner with Cecil's family and know all the arrangements that were made after Cecil's death. Jericho, the brother who agreed to watch over the cubs and stuff.

Delta, United, and American Airlines ban all shipping of "trophies" from big game hunting via their planes. http://www.bbc.com/news/world-africa-33767771

This is a completely empty gesture. There may be some strange exceptions and somehow some take their trophies home with them, but for all intents and purposes it's not like these guys go to Africa and shoot their trophy and walk it back into the United States on their return trip home. It takes at least a year and in some cases several years to get the stuffed product home. They are prepared and go through the CITES processes and that takes a while, then depending on how big it is, it's boxed up and shipped via cargo plane (but most likely, cargo ship) to a Taxidermist (usually in the US) for final mounting.

You mean they don't roll it up and put it under the seat in front of them!?!?!?

I guess you cold fly home with some horns or antlers or something.

A great topic for an Onion article would be African upset with the killing of majestic North American whitetail deer.
