From what I can gather (which is severely limited at his point), the decision to announce the firing of Manning will not take place until a new coach has agreed to a contract.

So you're we're saying is, Manning has been told by Currie that "I want to fire you, and if we can sign another coach you're fired; but up and until then you're still our coach." And I'm not trying to be a smart-ass and that may be 100% what is taking place, but man what an awkward "working" situation that would be. No way that scenario could drag on much longer.

My understanding is that the year end reviews, to include Danny Manning's, will have ended by COB today. It will be set one way or the other. From here on out it's just a matter of when everyone else will be filled in.
