Matt Taibbi: Bush far tougher than Obama on corporate America

No one I saying that the pubs are being extremely difficult. The point is that Obama hasn't even attempted any tough measures on Wall Street reform.

You can't claim obstruction if there has been little to nothing to obstruct. Obama is a charlatan.

I thought you and lectro were having a fit about Dodd/Frank. Some of you people were, I remember.

You're right, its wimpy, but you guys had a conniption about that as did the Pub reps in DC. Imagine the henny penny panic if real reforms had been proposed. y'all see a socialist around every corner

The Republicans aren't being "Extremely difficult". This is the most obstructionist Congress in the history of the US government. It was planned to be this way the night of his inauguration. He was never given a chance.

If you don't think a lot of it is about race, you are being hopelessly naive. Most of his proposed legislation have center to center/right. Hell 1/3 of stimulus package were tax cuts the Republicans wanted. plus he got rid of a few dozen "pork projects" Republicans complained about. The reviled "personal mandate" was a watered down version of the Dole/American Enterprise Institute mandate of the 90s.

The infrastructure bill that passed the Senate 78-22 would have cut unemployment by 1% or more didn't even get a vote in the hate-filled, Tea Party run House. Those bills were routinely passed for the past century. It's not about the legislation. It's about the TP hating that a black man is POTUS.

You are assuming something about me. I have never railed against Dodd frank.

I've never commented on Dodd-Frank.

If you want to get a glimpse of how shitty it really is just watch the PBS Frontline "A Warning".

The treatment Brooksley Born received at the hands of Greenspan,Summers and Levitt was atrocious. Levitt has since tearfully apologized for his role in savaging her as she attempted to warn of an impending Econ meltdown.
