Mattis Quits

Mattis was the last adult in the room. 60 Minutes did a good piece on the work of the Kurds in NE Syria a month or 2 ago. They've been doing a lot of the heavy lifting in Syria and Iraq over the past few years, and this leaves them high and dry and vulnerable to the Turkish army and/or Assad/Putin. Throw in the piece I read earlier today on Trump lifting sanctions on that 1 Russian firm that Manafort is indebted to, and it's difficult to come to any conclusion other than Trump is a Manchurian Candidate traitor.
 
Yeah it really is gonna be funny watching and listening to the rubes defend this clowns actions from here on out.

I'm not exactly keeping count, but it sounds like a ton of Pubs and Dems are really pissed at the Syria withdrawal and Mattis resigning. With Kelly, McMaster and Mattis gone, that leaves pretty much just flamethrowers like Bolton and Pompeo. There really is no one to serve as a check on his worst impulses now. Foreign policy could get even worse than it has been over the next 2 years. As could a lot of other things.
 
Bill Murray is likely available...but he might have to take leave when his minor league team plays.
