Why discuss Christina? She's a contemporary of Britney, but she's not using the tabloids to augment her popularity. She's a baseline for relying on talent alone. She's more like Maria Carey.

Britney v. Christina was a fair argument at the time, because it was based on sexual preferences.

Britney vs. Miley (even in that HOT HOT HOT Party in the USA vid) is no contest. Britney in Toxic was untouchable.

Miley is not hot. US pop culture is just slumping right now when it comes to hot girls in their early twenties. The iconic beauties of the late 90's and early 2000's have crows feet, laugh lines and the boobs are beginning the long, slow journey south for the winter (though some are better at hiding it than others).

Christina is super short, like 2-3 inches shorter than Britney.

Oh this is a thing. Britney vs. Christina was a big time argument back in the TRL Glory Days. And then every once in a while sometime would try to throw Mandy Moore into the mix, and then we would all HATE them.

The results had to be like 89% Britney, 11% Christina.
 
It was probably like 80/20, but yeah. Also by the time X-Tina came around we'd all pretty much discovered internet porn, so it wasn't as shocking and awesome as it would of been 5 years earlier.
