Throughout the month of May, Netflix will lose streaming rights to a whopping 1,794 titles because of expiring deals with Warner Bros., MGM, Universal, and Viacom. A big chunk of them will expire tonight at midnight — and by the end of the month, Netflix Instant will have lost the whole lot.
Nearly 2,000 shows isn't much compared to the reported 60,000 titles Netflix has in its streaming library. But considering people often complain about the lack of interesting choices on Netflix Instant in the first place, the new deletions won't help anything. Still, from the looks of that list, nothing too precious will disappear. To wit, not a single title with a rating of 4.5 or higher falls on the list. It's not as bad as the Great Starz Play loss of 2012 or anything. Of course, there are a couple of lower rated films, like Cruel Intentions and Dr. No, that some of us will miss.

I guess that's why I haven't been able to get on Instant Watcher.

meh, i'm more interested in TV fare and their new original programming.

I wish they'd get some decent horror flicks. They have the shittiest selection of horror films imaginable.
INCREDIBLY shitty. They're either old school films that everybody's seen a million times (Hellraiser, Rosemary's Baby, Exorcist, etc.) or current D-grade garbage that looks like it was shot on a camera phone in somebody's attic.

Doesn't matter - Arrested Development

i just watched the last season again and boy they sure jumped the shark at the end of the last season...it was bad! i wonder what they are going to do to try to rectify that crap.

Lol at Warner Bros thinking anyone will pay for a Warner Bros only movie stream.

Cable and movie companies are ganging up on Netflix. Starve them, weaken them, buy them.

I have Netflix streaming. Rarely watch moves because bad choices anyway. Any other good streaming options that people around here enjoy?

"Read a book fatties" doesn't even make sense.

Actually, it does. There's a lot of evidence that people snack more when they watch TV. Also, people will eat more during a meal if the TV is on, which isn't on point, but speaks to the overall effect television has on weight.

Fair enough.

Perfect time to do so with the final eight episodes coming this summer.

I'm really digging it. I just watched the one where Hank got ambushed in the parking lot. That was as tense a scene as I've seen on any screen. And the actress who plays his wife brought it in the next episode when she was kicking the DEA guys out of the waiting room. Awesome stuff.
