New Zealand’s Mosque Massacre

The point being, in all this, to claim he was “just crazy” to minimize the attack is super lame. This attack, like others, happen in part due to right wing politicians and media wannabe opportunists peddling hateful narratives that they say is “just telling it like it is !”

He was probably crazy and probably prone to radicalization, but that doesn't change the fact that he was radicalized by hard core ideology and had access to an echo chamber of like minded people. We need as a society to start trying to come up with answers to keep this from happening. Clearly the President rhetoric is not helping.

Bumb, you mind answering this for me? K thx.

You think I'm an evil person because I'm a socialist, because I want people to live lives of dignity, have healthcare/housing and be free from state violence. You are generally a moron when it comes to antifa, defending white supremacist Tucker Carlson, while not acknowledging that antifa has been busy protecting communities by outing Identity Europa members and protecting communities from white nationalists.

Other than that, you just generally are a horrible human being. You think its ok to fat shame people and you suggest that people that take SSRIs are more likely to commit mass murder. The fucking lowest of the low.

“Ongoing theory” in that it is the right’s initial response to every mass shooting.

Fraser Anning, a Queensland member of the Australian Senate, made the statement below. It's as flat-out bigoted and xenophobic as anything you'll see. His argument is that the Muslims killed in NZ are actually to blame for their own murders, because they're a member of of a religion that's the "religious equivalent to fascism". Australia and NZ's immigration laws are also to blame for the murders, and even though the Muslims were "the victims" here, they had it coming because of their religion. He also gets in some swipes at the "left-wing" news media. I'm sure he could make a strong run for office as a Republican in many parts of the US, and no doubt Tucker or Hannity or Rush would love to honor him as a guest on their shows.

"I am utterly opposed to any form of violence within our community, and I totally condemn the actions of the gunman. However, whilst this kind of violent vigilantism can never be justified, what it highlights is the growing fear in our community, both in Australia and New Zealand, of the increasing Muslim presence."

"As always, left-wing politicians and the media will rush to claim that the causes of today's shootings lie with gun laws or those who hold nationalist views but this is all cliched nonsense. The real cause of bloodshed on New Zealand streets today is the immigration program which allowed Muslim fanatics to migrate to New Zealand in the first place."

"Let us be clear, while Muslims may have been the victims today, usually they are the perpetrators. World-wide, Muslims are killing people in the name of their faith on an industrial scale. The entire religion of Islam is simply the violent ideology of a sixth-century despot masquerading as a religious leader, which justifies endless war against anyone who opposes it and calls for the murder of unbelievers and apostates."

"The truth is that Islam is not like any other faith. It is the religious equivalent of fascism. And just because the followers of this savage belief were not the killers in this instance, does not make them blameless."

Mohamed Sifaoui: "I Consider Islamism to Be Fascism"

Sifaoui: I certainly am one of the first Muslims to consider Islamism to be fascism. This is not a subjective decision but rather a serious, academic argument. Fascism and Islamism are comparable in many aspects: Fascism, without evoking all its particularities, bears similarities to trends also present in Islamism. I am, of course, making a reference to their will to exterminate the Jews. On this point, the Islamists may go even further in their doctrine than the Nazis did, considering that the end of the world could only occur when there are no Jews left on earth. In the three monotheist religions, apocalypse, end of the world, and doomsday exist and are liturgical events invested with a high degree of spirituality. Hence, the Islamists interpret the end of the world in a very special way. Whereas it is written nowhere in the Qur'an, exegetes describe the end of the world as the day when even the trees and rocks will be able to talk and tell the Muslims: "Come here, there is a Jew hiding behind me. Come and kill him." And this would go on, until there would not be any Jew left on earth. This ideology is pure fascism.

Trump's hate speech and actions are a direct cause of this heinous event.
