this is impressive
ATS, I already sent you the link I’ve been using for years to get Sunday Ticket streaming.
I know, but it doesn't work unless: 1) your address is one that cannot be serviced by DirecTV or 2) you are a currently enrolled student
That's not everyone.
It should be bs. Visiting fans could keep throwing and help their team out. They should announce anyone caught throwing will be escorted out of the stadium. That will stop it. Mostly.Apparently the referee issued warning that continued snowball throwing would result in a penalty (unsportsmanlike conduct, 15 yards) to the home team was total BS.
Your guess is as good as mine. Why would DirecTV grandfather in someone who unsubscribed from their service?
I've tried the same thing last and this season after switching from DirecTV to YouTubeTV and have been unsuccessful in all attempts. I've called numerous times and tried numerous links from folks who assure me this works for them. No dice for me. None of the 4-5 reps I've talked to knew of a way for (a) a person who lives in a place that can get DirecTV service but chooses not to or (b) isn't a current college student to subscribe to Sunday Ticket in any fashion. It's not a personal quest. It's actually a work-related thing.
I don't doubt anyone's personal anecdotes... I'm just telling you what is reality when I try to sign up. It doesn't accept my address and it knows I am not a student, even when I use a valid student e-mail address.
There are always ways around these things. I realize that. We've pretty much established that Ph is somehow grandfathered in. But if you try to sign up for NFL Sunday Ticket, it will ask you to prove one of those two facts (out of service area or current student)... If you cannot, you are generally shit out of luck. That's the way the NFL has always wanted it. And that is why the new deal with Google is a big deal... It apparently allows for a stand alone product (though pricing is TBD).
NO THIS IS WRONG PH HAS HAD AN EXPERIENCE THAT DOESNT ALIGN WITH YOURS SO YOU MUST BE WRONGI've tried the same thing last and this season after switching from DirecTV to YouTubeTV and have been unsuccessful in all attempts. No, I have never had DirecTV streaming. Just always the Sunday Ticket app and streaming, for 7 or 8 years now. I have never had any other affiliation with DirecTV and have always been able to receive it at my house but never have gotten it. Again, it was specifically required by the NFL that it be offered as a stand-alone service to anyone who wanted it, not just those who couldn't get DirecTV. They just advertised it the minimum amount because obviously they wanted to sell the TV packages too.If you are talking about buying the DirecTV streaming package (without the dish) and then also paying for NFL Sunday Ticket... Then, yes, that was a thing. But you still needed to buy DirecTV Streaming... Not just NFL Sunday Ticket.
FWIW, the DirecTV streaming product that was offered by AT&T ended up being a miserable failure and led to AT&T just jettisoning DirecTV altogether. I had actually forgotten it existed, but I do remember all of those commercials now that you mention it.
All you have to do is tell DirecTV that you don't own the home and cannot put a dish on the roof and you can get the Sunday Ticket stand alone. No, I have never had DirecTV streaming.
