NHL overtaking NBA?

Ask 100 random people on the street to name five NHL players and get back to me with the results.
 
PLUS NBA players have more teeth and children per capita than NHL players
 
It would be silly to argue that the NHL has already passes the NBA but it would not be silly to say the NHL is growing at a faster pace than the NBA.
 
I've been to 6 NHL games this year and probably watched most of 10 others on tv.

Zero nba 2 years running.

That's my anecdotal evidence.
