Their main message the past 10 years has been making sure trannies get equal rights. That hasn't driven me to the voting booth. Now the only position they're back to is medicare for all. It was a loser for Obama, lost them congress, got Trump elected and it will be a loser if they waste their capital on it again.
Personally, I was mainly disappointed that Obama didn't fix the banks during the crisis and took the easy way out. Make the banks bigger at the taxpayers expense, make the rich even richer, all for a lousy 1.5% growth.
The dems best message is to just go hard left, blame wall street and the bankers for everyone's problems (not mexicans or canadian tariffs) and go strong anti-military spending to afford the "socialist" policies like free healthcare. The main reason they don't and the main reason Obama caved to wall street is they think they need the donor class to win. Well they just outspent Trump 2:1 and lost, so money doesn't help. A good message does.
Pushing back on tax reform was dumb, it put money in 90% of people's pockets. Do real tax reform that keeps most people's taxes lower and close the hell out of loopholes. Trump opened the door talking about every war as other countries owe us money for our military presence (South Korea, the EU, etc. all not paying their fair share), say "its obvious they won't compensate us, so we should stop trying to protect the world" and save the money that way. Trump basically opened the door to wipe out the RNC's war mongering machine, walk though it. Get the fuck outta the middle east and cut our military budget in half.
Get rid of guns while you're at it. Take on everything all at once, put money in most people's pockets, make their lives better and take down the 1%.
If the past 2 years have taught anyone anything, is that America doesn't like pussies. How many school shootings do you need for dems to get the balls to go after the guns?
I agree with pretty much everything here except the first two sentences.
