Notre Dame, 3:30pm NBC/Peacock

Opened at ND -25 O/U 47.5

Now: 24.5

That essentially translates to a 36-11 final score. The ND offense has really struggled lately. When ND has scored points, it has been via turnovers. This is ND's senior day. This is either senior day #2 or #3 for Sam Hartman. ND is coming off a bye and has Stanford, in California, on deck. Supposed to be sunny with highs around 50 and medium winds (14 mph) on Saturday.

Contrarian's like the Deacs. Hard to see how WF scores points.

Sam might be good for a couple of tosses to Mustapha or Garnes.

The ND defense should have no problem scoring on turnovers this week.

Wake needs to wear whatever helmets look like Notre Dame's helmets. Or whichever ones Wake wore the most when he was at Wake.
Only hope is to confuse Sam.

Who wants a fun stat?

In 2022, Sam Hartman was sacked 34 times for a total of a loss of -195 yards. Sam also rushed 102 times for 129 yards.
In 2023, Mitch has been sacked 35 times for a total of a loss of -202 yards. Mitch has rushed 106 times for 128 yards.

Feels very different though doesn't it.

Yeah to a point. Sam played more games and had more snaps. But the end of last season was a shit show as well.

Really both Sam and Mitch are too small to hang in the close to the line of scrimmage in the slow mesh if the protection isn't there. Mitch hasn't handled pressure well at all, but the line sure hasn't done him any favors. Some of the best protection I've seen him get this year against a legit opponent was against Duke and for 3 quarters Mitch was pretty decent.

What are the odds Sam wants to keep the WF bowl streak alive and throws us a few pick-6's? He could easily make it look like one of his melt down games.

Kern gonna pull off the stunners of all stunners and send this board into delirium.
