Official 2018 NBA Offseason Thread: the preseason cometh

Aside from a horrific injury, opening night went very well.
 
Rockets just beat the warriors after they shot 54/54/90 and got 20 points outta Swaggy P in the first half

And yet none of those guys played an obscene amount of minutes. Ariza and Harden were the only two above 33 minutes at 38 and 36 respectively. You could conceivably play an 8 man rotation without anyone going over 30 minutes so you can get away with it if you manage rotations carefully.

The Rockets will go big more against non-Warriors teams and will certainly try and develop some depth at guard, but last night was encouraging for a top 8 specifically constructed to compete with the Warriors. They will need to get more out of Chris offensively (he was brilliant on defense) and figure out how to keep Capela on the floor at times when Draymond is at the 5 if they are going to replicate last nights results.
 
I think the rockets could use one more all star level player in the front court

they had him playing C for a lot of the game at 6-6 and about a million pounds more than a 6-6 NBA player should weigh. he was playing great defense on bigs and wings and draining 3s. it was awesome.
 
I wonder if we would have won it all in 04-05 if we had been able to get PJ into Wake
