Official 2021-22 NBA Offseason Thread - Warriors extend Poole and Wiggins

Like PackPride but a team that's had recent success? That's scary.

westbrook sucks

obviously that's not his family's fault and they shouldn't have to deal with this shit, but he still sucks

I think its absolutely bonkers that he and his family are getting death threats. And I cant imagine the shit his kids deal with at school. And none of that is cool

At the same time I dont know why he thinks that interview is going to make any opposing fans do anything for the rst of the season other than chant "Westbrick". It is kind of like Booker and the Raptors mascot. Now opposing mascots troll him

obviously death threats (or any family harassment) is not cool (and has happened w/ the lakers before) but idk he just seems annoyed people are making fun of his last name. his kid is only 4.

russ has really always sucked to an extent, but it’s worse now bc he has never taken ownership and this is another example, so it’s no surprise he can’t fit in or improve his game. not to mention he’s been a consistent jerk to the media and fans his whole career.

this is a somewhat unrelated really hot take but i actually do appreciate kendrick perkins perspective at times - if you put it in the right context.

Jokic has 15/6/3 in his first 10 min vs. the Kings.

25/10/5 at the half in 17 min.

Visiting Suns with absolute dismantlement of Heat this evening. No CP3, no problem.

The Lakers lost to the Rockets. In OT. Russ had 30/8/6 on 11-21 shooting.

Lebron was -17 in 45 minutes in a 9 point OT loss.

The Lakers lost back to back games to the Spurs and Rockets. They play the Wizards on Friday. This is the Lakers' easiest week of the rest of the season. Everyone else they play except the Wizards against and Thunder in the last week of the season are top 10 in their conference.

Jokic with a pedestrian 38/18/7/1/2 on 15-24 fg.

What drives ratings more? Lakers tanking out of the playoffs or play-in/first round loss?

Gotta imagine a Clippers-Lakers full squad win to get in play-in game would get good ratings and Suns-Lakers/Clippers would be a highly rated series.

Danny Green shared a deeper look into the Sixers locker room during the Ben Simmons saga on sports radio. Here are some of the things he shared:
• Ben Simmons changed his phone number without telling anyone. Danny reached out personally, sent a bunch of text messages over a few weeks, but Ben did not responded. Others tried checking in on him and nobody talked to Ben until he showed up at practice.
• players in the Sixers locker room would discuss who they’d trade Ben away for. They didn’t expect to get a big asset like Harden.
• The role players in the Sixers locker room joked about being traded away a potential Ben Simmons deal as nobody felt safe on the team.
• James is a workaholic and his party habits are grossly overstated. Tyrese is a also workaholic. Danny green forces him to stay out of the gym. Great positive energy. A lot of guys would fold, or take on that kind of pressure. He’s the perfect fit.
• Joel and Karl Anthony Towns mended their beef after the tragedy of COVID and now those guys say hi to each other in the street
• Everybody circled their calendar for the Nets game. Nobody in the 76ers organization is surprised that Ben isn’t playing.
• Danny feels bad for Westbrook. He's doing the same thing he did in Washington. You can't blame him because he can't fit – Westbrook didn't make the decision to put the team together. He was brought in to play with the team and sometimes it doesn't work out well. You cannot just put it all on one person.

A Suns/Lakers series would definitely get the ABC prime game on the first weekend and would deliver the highest rating.

Is Townie ready to admit that the Celtics might be pretty good?

Over reliant on the BUM Tatum but yea rounding into form

Man, that pregame shot of AI hugging Dr. J was cool as hell.

Townie getting a preview of rooting for James Harden in big games
