Official 2021 College Football Thread: Grass Picker Named to CFP Selection Committee!

It’s a shame the primary audience for this game are people who don’t drink caffeine.

Their RB was injured. Our D teed off on Armstrong. Sacked him 6 times. He had a few good runs, but he didn't get loose like this.

I remember thinking UVA playcalling was pretty bad against Wake, not just sticking with what was working for them

What’s the website that predicts next weeks rankings ? CBS?

9. Wake Forest (13): This may be an aggressive projection, but an 8-0 record with all eight wins featuring at least 35 points scored by the Demon Deacons is going to warrant another bump up closer to the undefeated teams. The Deacons were double-digit favorites against Duke, but the 45-7 win is going to get the attention of voters trying to decide between Wake Forest and one-loss teams in this range of the rankings.

There's more samoans in this game than an episode of Friday night smackdown.

Official 2021 College Football Thread: Michigan -4.5 at MSU, O/U 50.5, 12:00 FOX !!!

Don’t remember the last time I saw a guy get hit like that and get up so woozy. That did not look right.

UVa #8 is a savvy CB.

Wise move by UVa to just let them score right there, so they can get their offense back on the field.

Georgia has 8 straight games holding teams under 14 points.

Wake has 8 straight games scoring over 35.

Seems like a collision course to me.

Not saying it’s going to happen, but could you imagine the media (and fan) apathy with an ACC Championship game between 10-2 Wake Forest and 9-3 Virginia?

Has us jumping Notre Dame, which seems highly unlikely given how the media fawn over the Irish, but would be sweet. No one seems to have us jumping Michigan

Wake has allocated $100MM to football facilities since Clawson got here.

Not sure why Clawson would step down to another developmental program.

Plus, if Winston is a foodie desert imagine what Blacksburg would be like.

We’ve been very fortunate that our biggest donors - Bob, Ben, Mit- seem to have come into a lot of cash last 5 years. Yes- we aren’t going to play home games in front of 60,000+ fans but you can make up for that in facilities these days to attract good players.

Michigan’s resume is not impressive at all. Their best wins are Wisconsin and Nebraska.

Agree, and MSU hadn’t beaten anyone before yesterday, so these teams just play/beat each other and get a margin of error that no one will allow Wake. Just keep winning
