Mnuchin responds to criticism that he requested government jet for his European honeymoon

The Kentucky trip ended within miles of the path of totality, the narrow band across the United States where the moon totally blotted out the sun during the solar eclipse. Mnuchin viewed it from one of the most restricted sites in the world: Fort Knox.

On Thursday, Mnuchin also addressed this controversy, saying the trip was to see Fort Knox and not the eclipse.

“People in Kentucky took this stuff very seriously. Being a New Yorker, I don’t have any interest in watching the eclipse,” he said.

This guy.

He has a point, total eclipses are much more common in New York.

Gorsuch gave a speech last week at the McConnell Center at the University of Louisville where he was introduced by Mitch McConnell.

Sure. Do they speak at the President's hotel or are they introduced by the majority/minority leader at a center named for that leader?

The Florida AG dropped the Trump U case for $25K. Maybe dropping cases isn't as lucrative as you might think!

Ivanka and Don Jr. were about to be indicted for lying to investors until Trump's lawyer donated $50,000 to the DA.

In one e-mail, according to four people who have seen it, the Trumps discussed how to coördinate false information they had given to prospective buyers. In another, according to a person who read the e-mails, they worried that a reporter might be on to them. In yet another, Donald, Jr., spoke reassuringly to a broker who was concerned about the false statements, saying that nobody would ever find out, because only people on the e-mail chain or in the Trump Organization knew about the deception, according to a person who saw the e-mail. There was “no doubt” that the Trump children “approved, knew of, agreed to, and intentionally inflated the numbers to make more sales,” one person who saw the e-mails told us. “They knew it was wrong.”

Looked up the location of Trump Soho, I used to walk by that place all the time when I lived in NYC. I couldn't figure out why they'd put a fancy hotel in such a crummy location.

Jared Kushner fined again for late ethics form, Ivanka Trump fined too

But Kushner appears to have had difficulty getting his right. In total, Kushner has made changes to his financial disclosure form 39 times — in many cases in response to questions from the Office of Government Ethics — after receiving an initial 18-day filing extension. By comparison, former White House strategist Steve Bannon, who also is wealthy, had made one change to his form as of Aug. 11, one week before he left the administration. Trump herself amended her form just four times.

39 times?

Report: Trump-tied lobbyists cash in on their connections

Public Citizen identified 17 people who worked for Trump's transition team, then engaged in lobbying the administration during its first six months. They collectively billed clients $14.9 million.

Barry Bennett, a former senior adviser to Trump's campaign, founded Avenue Strategies with ex-Trump campaign manager Lewandowski. Although Lewandowski parted ways with the firm, saying his name was being used to promote connections to Trump, multiple Trump ties remain. Avenue Strategies has employed as many as five and now has three registered lobbyists with connections to Trump. They have billed more than $1 million to clients, including Citgo Petroleum, a U.S. affiliate of Venezuela's state oil company PDVSA and one of the biggest corporate donors to Trump's swearing-in ceremony.

Avenue Strategies has been helping Citgo fight possible sanctions against Venezuelan oil pushed by lawmakers critical of Venezuelan government leader Nicolas Maduro. Trump in August tightened sanctions on financial transactions with Venezuela but still allows oil transactions between the two countries.
