He is running full speed at the guy and the Utah State guy lowers his helmet. When you see it full speed what is a DB suppose to do.

Our WRs were dominating their CBs, particularly on the outside, yet we went away from those throws midway through the 4th. We should have kept throwing until Newman’s arm fell off.

Who ever said Clawson doesn't trust Newman is right.
 
We had over a 100 plays and ran the ball very effectively early, but it seemed to get worse as the game went on. Usually a defense tires out.
 
Love made quite a few mistakes but there’s no denying the kid’s talent. He made some unbelievable throws. When their hurry up was running it was like a hot knife through butter. The Henderson pick was also just a phenomenal play.
That being said HOW GOOD WAS SAGE TONIGHT. Kid dominated at will and that play on the last drive was straight legendary.
 
Def could use some improvement but we had large swaths of good plays. Utah State really is going to have another great year.... Love made some dumb decisions but I was overall impressed with him and the rb Warren. Their defense has some beef boys too. Very quality win

That was me. It’s true, he only lets Clawson him sling it when it’s desperation time. And look what he does, NC ST, Memphis, Etc. Newman is incredible in these situations.
 
Of course we finally score after losing a yard so that we are two yards out instead of one. Maybe that should be our short yardage play-just take a knee on 3rd and 1, then try to make the 4th and 2.
 
Cade had 105 yds rushing-- probably more before the last drive. Surratt had 158 yds receiving, Claude 70 yds Hinton 66 yds Newman had 36 yds on 21 carries for a 1.7 average.
 
Heartbroken... game management was horrible for us. Go back and watch our game against Michigan State last year, and it is an exact repeat of tonight. Our secondary is... not good to put it lightly. You guys have a killer QB and that bowling ball of a RB is great too. Good luck to you in the rest of your season. Hope you win the rest of the games you have left.

We've been there. Hoping to get that big signature win and outplaying the team and then letting them off the hook.
