Oh, yeah, it sure is. Collins, Alexander, and the other GOP Senators saying this are being disingenuous in the extreme. They know damn well they'll be giving him a blank check tomorrow to pretty much do whatever he wants. And they don't care, as long as he doesn't go after them personally on twitter or in a campaign rally or anywhere else.

He read your post about Walsh performing a political 180...thought back to one of Joe Walsh’s most controversial tweets...then decided it would be a good retort to your comment...searched for the tweet...and finally posted it. Not once during that time did it dawn on him that the tweet he was about to post was pretty close to the perfect example of Joe Walsh’s political 180...validating exactly what you said.
