Ongoing US GOP Debacle Thread: Seditious Republicans march toward authoritarianism

That's basically been their excuse for Trump all along: his personal behavior is reprehensible, but better than a democrat!

No it isn’t. They love his personal behavior. They didn’t want to admit it out loud at first, and some still don’t. But they love this dude up and down and are not one bit bothered by his behavior.

Damn. They have no shame.

I was going to say they should have waited a bit before announcing to look less terrible, but to be fair, if you're expecting something from Trump, it's wise to get him to pay up immediately.

Sure to get votes on a big bill not for treason and grift.

one tyrant's treason is another person's upgraded Port. I can't even imagine how hard it is to level up your ports when your starting Civ is Alaska

LOL. It's funny to see the Never Trumpers write so gleefully like they're in on some secret that Democrats knew at least 5 years ago.

Which is why Mick Mulvaney vigorously opposed the tax bill that exploded the deficit.

lol, jk.

To be fair, he did say "we."

One more thing:

He said he was not concerned about his “acting” title 14 months into the job and noted he got the offer the first time he ever met the president.

“It’d be a $20,000 pay cut to take the job,” he said, adding he was able to keep his old salary instead of taking a lower one that other chiefs of staff took.
