Go to the Elf's house. We're just a bit West of t
Doubt anybody will have a problem with it since they did a solid job of stressing correlation not causation. Not sure of your point here. Even on the Pit, posters talk about going to church to help teach their kids morality.

How to show study is flawed

Step 1: Study done in the UK not the US.
Step 2: Ill let PhDeac point out the flaws in a study like this since its his realm.
Step 3: What about all the people in prison that go to prison church... mind blown.

People who are in supermax prisons commit fewer new crimes than people on the outside.

Why would you assume this would be a controversial finding? Assimilating people at risk for committing crimes into a stable community reduces their likelihood of committing crime? NO WAI

Religious practice is just one way of gaining exposure to the pro-social behavioural norms that are at the heart of this relationship; other, more secular, activities may equally serve a similar role.

Not going to bother looking this up, but I'd assume that people who go to school commit less crime, people who volunteer commit less crime, etc.

People who don't go to parties at Jason Bieber's house commit less crimes.

sounds like they were asked how much/often they worshipped, and asked about crimes they committed or would likely commit.

two things people never exaggerate or deny.

cool study

Phew, I am now very reassured that churchgoers are less likely to engage in music piracy than non-churchgoers.

I'm guessing people who go to church commit more white collar crimes than those who don't.

This isn't just about Catholic priests.

did they correlated age of churchgoer? b/c every time i'm in a church it's populated with AARP members; not sure they're prone to committing crime

all of this. most unsurprising study result ever, right up there with "poor people have trouble saving money".

When I managed a hotel, I could instantly tell if we had a church or religious group in-house. All I had to do was look at the movie rentals from the previous night. If porn rentals were over 70%, it was nearly a lock a religious group was around.

Yes. And how often are you in church. Because everytime I'm in church - which is just about every Sunday - the place is overrun by families with screaming toddlers. Or perhaps you live in God's waiting room - aka - Naples, FL or a depressed rust belt city.
