Unlike those goobers physically at Kiawah who "watched" it thru their phones, we were watching it live on our couch in glorious hdtv. But to your point, it was a great event and worth blowing s Sunday afternoon being dialed in.

Watched a lot myself. They needed a little more crowd control at the end. Phil and Brooks got eaten up by the crowd. Just a little dangerous.
 
I had about 150 DraftKings teams. I’ve been reasonably successful in daily fantasy golf. Had zero shares of Mickelson and about 2% Koepka. Did not fare well in this tournament.
 
Having just worked and spent most of the week at Quail Hollow and Kiawah, the PGA significantly understaffs on the course and has poor quality volunteers. It's no surprise they couldn't protect the players when half the marshalls are snapping pictures instead of watching the crowd when the big names come through.

I left before the end yesterday but I'd imagine some changes will be made before they head to Tulsa next year. With the volunteer fee well above the uniform cost ($250ish if I recall), they can even spin it internally as a profitability boost.

I’d be shocked if their weren’t changes implemented soon.
This issue is kinda like fans storming the football field at the end of games. A big difference is the size of the players and what they’re wearing. Shoulder pads and helmets for a little more protection than a golf shirt

Yeah it was nuts how quickly they lost control of the crowd. It started off as kind of cool to see the fans get behind Phil (literally) and then went nuts. I got a little worried about Dottie Pepper for a minute.

I have been guilty many times of recording pictures and videos at golf tournaments to try and "capture a moment." In my opinion you end up getting a mediocre quality picture or video instead of just enjoying the moment. You also end up potentially obstructing someone else's view. I made a point at Quail Hollow a few weeks ago to just enjoy the tournament and not get caught up on getting a picture of this golfer or that golfer. I am sure many others feel differently.

God what a great time it was out there this weekend. I've never seen a more rowdy crowd. I hope the PGA brings it back in 2030 or whenever the next open slot is.

It's indeed a great venue that they should use once a decade. So my question is, if you can have a major at Kiawah with limited ticket sales, why can't you have a major at Spyglass Hill with limited tickets? It's a tougher layout than Pebble and just as beautiful.

Not a fan of Southern Hills or Baltusrol being in the rotation. I love Winged Foot and Bethpage, but Baltusrol doesn't do it for me.
 
Logistics aside, Kiawah is a much better major championship site than Pinehurst.
