So as not to monopolize the CT and hear Palma complain about my vacations, I need y'all to pick my summer 24 trip for me.
Anybody ever been to Thailand? Pick one of these trips for me for 2024.

I have to sign up by noon tomorrow and these are the places we're considering. Kinda leaning Thailand.

one thought is that Japan is the most expensive place to visit of the ones listed so maybe that's the pick if the trip is comped

i'm going to japan in may so you can also pick japan to just keep following my world travels ;)

I would be leery of Peru. Friends of ours had their dream trip delayed twice by Covid (which of course happened most places) and then this caused them to pull the plug for good.

Ugh we still have a travel credit for the Macchu Picchu trek we were supposed to go on in April 2020. Really want to get down there still but feels like a matter of time before they just close off the site forever.

Thailand is cheap AF and amazing. Dope food, great nightlife, weed is legal there now, mushroom smoothies, good beaches, good diving, a bunch of slooty girls from Australia that want to party their tits off.... What more could you want.

Are you planning to visit the outlet malls in Charlotte already?

My wife's friend moved to Thailand to be a dive instructor after living in Antarctica. She now lives in Norway. I'd pick Japan.

yeah, we were in the same boat but applied our credit to Italy instead. I think we may never get there either.

Sounds like the US may need to bail out Peru so people can visit Macchu Piccu. It’s not easy being the greatest superpower.

They should probably close MP or at least restrict tourist numbers and enforce rules. When I was there a few years ago, I saw an old lady throw a soiled baby diaper down to a lower terrace instead of finding a waste bin. Not to mention you can't turn around without being in the way of an influencer in heels posing for their partner with an iPhone. It was so fucking cool (the site) and so fucking gross (the people) at the same time.

I've done a Uruguay/Argentina trip before and while it's awesome and I highly recommend it for anyone (and we're planning to go back to Uruguay soon), that is a trip I think you could easily plan and execute on your own without needing a tour or agency. I also loved our trip to Tokyo, but other than a day trip out to Kamakura, we stayed exclusively in the city. Defs don't need a tour for staying in the city, but if you are taking legit excursions out like on the itinerary then a tour might be good. So I'd lean towards Japan or Thailand (which I haven't been to).

Is eftours the new company that your wife is working for and training in Boston for a month because I have bad news for you………… billionaire playboy Edward Hult is going to fuck your wife.

Thailand if you have to pay, Japan if it's comped.

You can def go back to Thailand on a trip that's not comped and get a great experience for not a lot of money.

The wife and I have agreed. We will adhere to the results of the poll by 11:59 a.m. tomorrow. Vote away.
