Possible Wake Forest Coaching Candidates Analysis

This may drag on a while. Based on nothing, it is possible that there are multiple moving parts. Negotiations on buyout/landing place for Danny Manning. Not wanting the job to be open for very long, hence keeping Danny until targeted coach(es) complete their tournament play.

Texas won yesterday. Many other targets mentioned will be coaching their first game today or tomorrow. If they are as good as hoped for, they may be getting ready for games next weekend.

Currie was severely criticized for having the Tennessee football coaching job open for a long time. He probably doesn't want to repeat that experience.

Texas plays Xavier on Sunday @ 4 PM. After Xavier beats them, Shaka will hop on a plane to Winston. Monday AM a press release will go out announcing Manning's departure and by noon a notice to the media of a press conference at 3 will be sent. At 3, Wake will announce Shaka as the new head coach.
 
with Ishmael and another player or two, SHAKA can turn it around in a hurry.

Hell with Oliver, Isaiah and Jaylon, he has the CORNERSTONES of his play style waiting for him when arrives.

Had SHAKA been here this year, we would have 18-20 games

Yes but for the Atlanta Hawks enthusiasts the prospects of getting Danny Manning to come and assist big men in learning how to grab rebounds and put ball in the basket when you're only 3 feet shorter than it this must be exhilarating

I have it on good authority that an owner of the Hawks knows Danny Manning on a personal basis and considers him a friend. The stars are aligning folks

has to be one of the seven deadly sins to convince the proper muffin-faced folks who want Wake to remain true to itself. And by true i mean gossipy and passive-aggressive while smiling cheerily through it all

Lust (Dated a Co-ed!)

Gluttony (Drinks too much!)

Greed (Demands we honor the buyout clause!)

Sloth (Only works 30 hours a week!)

Envy (all of Wellman's damn culture talk)

Pride

Would've been hard to go after Skip over wrath, but pride seems possible. "Won't adapt!" "Set in his ways!" "Keeps recruiting from Wyoming!" Something like that.

Does anyone know if Wellman or Currie are attending NCAA games the next few days? Perhaps they are hoping to take a look at candidates.
