[Redacted]'s overall record for every team he has been associated with (as a player, coach, or scout) over the past 38 years.

853-1039 (.4508)

He has 11 winning seasons in that time. 7 of those came under Pat Riley and 1 came with Carmelo Anthony.

If you take away his association with future Hall of Famers his overall record drops to 462-806 (.3587). He has 3 winning seasons without those two guys.

He has 10 seasons with a winning percentage of < .300 and another 10 seasons with < .400

This guy is a loser through and through.

A graphic during the Duke game put him at .37 at Wake. Atrocious.

He's very proud of how he helped make Pat Riley successful by changing his attitude.

Culture changes take time. Goodness grief, the poor man is doing it with 14 freshman and 6 walk-on seniors. I mean, not to make excuses, but socks and culture and all that.

In his 22 seasons associated with college basketball he has won fewer than 10 games 12 times. Yes you read that right. In over half of the college seasons Jeff has been a part of he has not managed to win 10 games. That is not even including this year.

8 of those seasons have come as a head coach or assistant coach.

AND TUCKED-IN SHIRTS!

He's now 5-28 in the ACC at Wake. That's a winning percentage of 15.15%. GREAT CULTURE CHANGE!!!

sports-reference.com uses a rating system combining point differential and strength of schedule to give all college basketball teams since 1979 a rating. The average college basketball team would have a rating of 0.

Recent National Champions have had ratings of 24.73 (Kentucky), 17.95 (Connecticut), 25.21 (Duke), and 25.46 (UNC). It is fairly useful in comparing teams across different seasons.

The average of [Redacted]'s 3 seasons at wake is (-0.98). To put that in perspective here are the worst historical 3 year averages I could find among ACC schools since 1979.

Steve Donahue, BC 2.69 2010-13
Larry Shyatt, Clemson 2.70 1999-2002
Les Robinson, State 2.71 1991-1994

For additional reference here are the average ratings of the first 3 seasons of two coaches [Redacted] is often inexplicably compared to.

Coach K, Duke 4.76 1980-1983
Tom Crean, Indiana 2.59 2008-2011

Both of those coaches made the NCAA tourney in year 4.

In order for [Redacted]'s first three seasons to be numerically comparable to the worst three year stretches in ACC history, or to Tom Crean's first 3 years at Indiana he would need a rating this year of around 13.

To put that number in context Dino's last team which went 20-11 had a rating of 11.45.

Also in honor of the smile on Dino's face whenever he does halftime of a wake game on espn, his teams average rating over 3 years was 12.12

Geez people. What do you want. We lost to Duke by under 20.

I'm impressed.

In my opinion, we are very fortunate to have Jeff Battle, Rusty LaRue, and Randolph Childress on our staff. But these are subordinates of the head coach and the head coach is the face and voice of the basketball program. Jeff [Redacted] is an atrocious indictment of the horrendous error Ron Wellman made in unilaterally hiring such an embarrassment. His lack of charisma and personality, combined with his historical failure as a coach, have provided a formula for disaster, and the fact that Ron Wellman continues to blindly support all that is wrong with our program makes him even more dispicable than [Redacted].

Recently, I have had the opportunity to talk with some Colorado people and they were pleasantly astounded that Ron Wellman would come to Colorado and rid their university of an unpopular and unsucccessful head coach. Wellman's annointment of [Redacted] allowed Colorado to hire a real coach who has made great strides these past three years. The strides have been make in spite of the Bzdlik influence, as opposed to any positives [Redacted] may erroneously attempt to claim.

How does a perennial loser with no personality keep getting work?
