RNC Chair compares Obama to cruiseship captain

I called you unpatriotic because you didn't respect the toll that being President takes on somebody.

That seems like a perfectly reasonable reason to call someone unpatriotic.

That is ridiculous and totally unfair comparison.

After all, the Captain of the Costa Concordia at least had executive experience prior to wrecking everything.

I thought Bush had executive experience.

The RNC Chair has nothing on the Kansas Republican House Speaker, who is actively praying for Obama's death and sharing that prayers with others.

"O'Neal's offense giving impulses were not over, however. Another email he forwarded to his fellow House Republicans asked them to to pray Psalm 109, which contains these verses:

'Let his days be few; and let another take his office.
Let his children be fatherless, and his wife a widow.'

At this moment I hope that a contingent of the United States Secret Service are making their way to Kansas, obviously. But look at the rest of this psalm if you will:

'When he shall be judged, let him be condemned: and let his prayer become sin.
Let his days be few; and let another take his office.
Let his children be fatherless, and his wife a widow.
Let his children be continually vagabonds, and beg: let them seek their bread also out of their desolate places.
Let the extortioner catch all that he hath; and let the strangers spoil his labor.
Let there be none to extend mercy unto him: neither let there be any to favor his fatherless children.'

He concluded the message to his fellow Republicans with a personal endorsement: 'At last — I can honestly voice a Biblical prayer for our president! Look it up — it is word for word! Let us all bow our heads and pray. Brothers and Sisters, can I get an AMEN? AMEN!!!!!!'"

Republicans are fucking nuts.

Imagine the Republican outrage if Secret Service took this guy into custody even though it would be valid.

So basically all someone has to do is take that guy out and then the Obama taking a hit out on someone rumors will start flying?

They would no doubt pretend to care about the First Amendment, while at the same time this is happening:

"In a stunning break with First Amendment policy on Capitol Hill, House Republicans directed Capitol Hill police to detain a highly regarded documentary crew that was attempting to film a Wednesday hearing on a controversial natural gas procurement practice. Republicans also denied the entrance of a credentialed ABC News news team that was attempting to film the event.

Josh Fox, director of the Academy Award-nominated documentary "Gasland" was taken into custody by Capitol Hill police this morning, along with his crew, after Republicans objected to their presence, according to Democratic sources present at the hearing.

Fox did not have formal Capitol Hill credentials, but such formalities are rarely enforced against high-profile journalists. Temporary passes are easy to obtain, and if Republicans had objected on procedural grounds, they could have simply sent the the crew to the front desk, rather than ordering police to arrest journalists. The right to a free press is protected by the First Amendment to the U.S. Constitution. Documentary crews are almost never denied access to public meetings of elected government officials.

A separate ABC News crew, which did have official Capitol Hill credentials, was also denied access to the public hearing.

It's only going to get nuttier on that side as November approaches. They've all gone completely off the reservation.

Not fair. Cruise ship captains can swim. Most black people cannot. It's not their fault.
