I feel bad for Adam. He's placed a great deal of faith in the NCAA's failure to find wrongdoing. That's fine, I guess, but let's not pretend they were actively looking. The "investigation" was pending at the time Auburn was scheduled to play for a championship. I think Cam was reported as ineligible on the Monday before the championship game, and then declared re-eligible by gametime. Likewise, Pryor was found to be ineligible by any objective standard, and even the NCAA had to admit that it was unsalvageble, but like Cam, was then-scheduled to play in a BCS game. Unable to look past the obvious, the NCAA fashioned the ad hoc remedy of suspending next year's team for Pryor's wrong-doing. Slow clap.
I don't doubt Adam has been fielding heaps of trash from the Tuscaloose Treekillers. I assume that they also believe their program is clean. If we've all decided to trade delusions, then I guess water has found its level.
