Citing court documents, the Tuscaloosa News reported on Thursday that the woman told police she suspected Taylor of cheating on her.
According to the court documents, the woman said she used her hands to make the marks on her neck, the newspaper reported.
Alabama coach Nick Saban said Thursday that former defensive tackle Jonathan Taylor will not return to the team even though the accuser in Taylor's domestic violence case recanted her story to police that Taylor assaulted her.
"That decision has already been made. He won't be back with us," Saban told ESPN.com.
Alabama spokeswoman Deborah Lane said in a statement earlier Thursday that "Jonathan Taylor is no longer a student at The University of Alabama and is not eligible for readmission."

Be interesting to see if this clusterfuck slows down the rush to judgment that has occurred post-Ray Rice video.
