Sanctuary Cities

Air campaign?

Who is talking about an air campaign? ROK and US air forces would quickly establish a near complete air superiority if a war was to break out on the Korean peninsula.

What happens to planes in the sky if there's no power?

Trump administration asks judge to lift sanctuary cities injunction

Sessions' new memo said that Trump's order will only apply to grants from the Departments of Justice and Homeland Security "and not to other sources of federal funding."

In addition, Sessions said the only localities whose current funding will be in jeopardy will be those that "willfully refuse to comply" with a specific provision in federal law. The provision prohibits cities from barring local employees such as police officers from communicating with federal officials about suspects who may be in violation of immigration laws.

Seems like this would make the executive order pretty meaningless.

Attorney General Sessions Raises Stakes for Sanctuary Cities

Far from stepping down — as some thought he might, given several days of criticism from President Trump —Sessions on Tuesday announced new rules for applying for money under a federal grant program that provides roughly $250 million in crime-finding aid to states and local governments.

To qualify for the latest round of grants, local governments must agree that they will notify the Department of Homeland Security at least 48 hours before releasing inmates from local jails when DHS has asked for advance notification about them.

And local governments must allow DHS agents to enter local jails and interview inmates suspected of being in the country illegally.

Jeff Sessions, chugging along as the president that appointed him rage-tweets in his general direction.
