As I stated, Schumer’s statement could reasonably interpreted to incite violence, whether that was his intent or not. This isn’t a close question, and Schumer should apologize. He won’t, just like Trump didn’t for his statement about “Obama judges.”

That’s just where we are with political discourse in this country today, and everyone digs in for anything said or done by those in their party.

Except for you, right? You don’t dig in for anything said or done by Pubs.

Also, I was against BK’s confirmation, but don’t let the FACTS get in the way.

why do you refuse to acknowledge that "hit" has more than one meaning?

Please get help. I'm not sure if you have Tourettes or simply mental health issues. Either way seek professional help.

No judge and especially no Justice of the Supreme Court should be threatening retribution to his political opponents. It defies the most basic tenet of an impartial judiciary.

PLEASE get some help for your anger issues.

It is not reasonable to interpret those words that way given their context and their obvious reference to Kavanaugh’s prior ranting.

I would have thought it was implicit when I said that Senators shouldn’t use words that can reasonably be interpreted to incite violence that I was acknowledging there were other meanings of those words.

So if a senator said something like "we're going to shoot to have it executed next week" would that be inappropriate?

Kavanaugh said the country would reap the whirlwind. Reap means to "cut and gather" (https://www.google.com/search?q=rea...69i61j69i60.1791j0j4&sourceid=chrome&ie=UTF-8) so he must have been threatening to cut the country and then gather us all up...maybe mass graves?...I'm not certain. Pretty threaten language though. I'd rather be hit than cut...personal opinion, I guess, but I just don't like blood.

LOL at conservatives getting their panties in a wad over freaking Chuck Schumer, who has a spine of jelly, saying - and I know this is shocking language that no one has heard in Washington since Trump took office in 2017 - that "“I want to tell you, Gorsuch. I want to tell you, Kavanaugh. You have released the whirlwind, and you will pay the price...You won’t know what hit you if you go forward with these awful decisions.” The horror! Not only did Kavanaugh use the same language in the first part of Schumer's statement (the "whirlwind"), but for people who love to call out liberals as sensitive snowflakes hyperventilating over that language is rich. Fox and other right-wing media is running full tilt with it, though - Fox had an enormous headline on their website earlier today screaming "SCHUMER'S SHAME." And of course Schumer, being the dangerous radical socialist that he surely is, meekly apologized right away. How uncivilized!
 
MAYBE (was that obvious enough) Junebug's law degree should be revoked.
