Season Long Former Deac CBB Thread

Have only watched the 2nd half, but Shelton's made 6 or 7 really good passes. He's got great court vision. His shot needs work for sure though. It's still pretty funky-looking. #smallsamplesizedeac but given our situation, I think Wilbekin was the right choice.

Fair points, all.

Then again, that's how averages work. You have good games and bad games, and it would be unfair to characterize Devin's career to this point as being stat-stuffing outings again crap teams and mostly poor outings against good teams. And he's far and away our best rebounder. Having one legit ACC player on our team means every team we play designs their defense around stopping him first. His attitude may need work but his frustrations are understandable. In his recent poor games the 4 spot is generating almost nothing. He's on an island down there. Look at Leonard's stats as a starter for the past few games - they are absolutely abysmal.

In two ACC seasons, Devin has 15+ points in a game 9 times (double digits in 22). He's also had 8+ boards in 20 games.

As much as Haas may have helped us, I'm not sure he fits Danny's style. At KU he didn't have many stationary big guys. Even Jeff Withey could run. The bigs he recruited for 15 and is recruiting for 16 are athletes.

Even when we don't have a PG or a big, he is pushing the ball.

We'd definitely be better with Haas this year, but do we get Doral if we have him? Remember Doral was as high as #33 on ESPN.

If Danny can't figure out how to use a future NBA big then we need more of the threads you've been soiling your diaper over.

So, to update:

Chase Fischer - 12.9 PPG, 41.1% from 3; playing in an NCAAT play-in game tonight against Ole Miss for an 11 seed

Carson Desrosiers - 6.9 PPG, 4.4 RPG, 2.5 BPG; 6 seed in the NCAAT

Shelton Mitchell - 4.2 PPG, 3.2 APG, 35.7% FG%; 5 seed in the NIT

Isaac Haas - 7.6 PPG, 4.0 RPG, 0.8 BPG, 53.7%, 14.5 MPG; 9 seed in the NCAAT

Anthony Fields' season was spent at the end of the Bradley bench. Bradley was awful (9-24 3-15). Fields averaged 1.2 ppg. Nice offer []!
