SI Grading the Coaching Hires: Wake gets B+ for Clawson

Clawson should have been an A- hire. Clawson is a much better fit at Wake than Charlie Strong is at Texas. That was a B- hire at best. Watched Strong on and off the field at UF for years...he was a good (not great, but good) DC, but he was hyper focused on racism and was generally very impatient with media attention. He may be a good fit for Texas on the field and in recruiting, but his booster and media relations will be brutal. Texas needs a charismatic coach who is comfortable in his own skin both on and off the field. That is not Charlie Strong.

These rankings seemed skewed towards who has the most alumni out there reading the site. If Wake had 100,000+ living alumni, Clawson would have bumped up a grade.
 
I'm just happy that there are mentions of Wake that don't solicit sympathy.
