Here's something silly for posters who like to write.

http://iwritelike.com/

Take a piece of something and paste in the box. Then their "program" will tell you whom you write a bit like.

Tried again with something different and got H. P. Lovecraft

Well, yeah, I guess it's obvious, I also like to write
All you had to do was give Humpty a chance
And now I'm gonna do my dance

I tried an early part of the book many have read and Ursula Le Guin and then a later section got Stephen King.

For something I'm working on now, the prologue got Cory Doctorow and a later part got Ian Fleming.

Tried again with something different and got Isaac Asimov

I just entered some crap that I wrote for a report this week about a study on polo shirts.

I write like David Frost Wallace in that report, apparently. Good for me.

Paragraph 2?

Dan Brown.

I'm starting to think this program is complete bullshit.

I got DFW as well. Besides having a much smaller lexicon, I'm alright with it.

I put the long distance relationship rant I typed in the bro thread in.

It says I write like William Gibson.

Tangent on the chat thread about this tool, but it would be fun/nerdy/SILLY to take posts these posters have made and turn them into the authors this thing thinks they are.
