Stay John Collins!

If he's assured a top 20 pick, he should go. That's life. We won't be any worse defensively if he leaves. He doesn't seem to understand how to contest but not foul. It's either a foul or get the "fuck out of the way" defense from him.

Man some of the takes in the various threads re: Collins are brutal. He is a poor defender and has been a poor defender all year. He's had poor overall games the last few.

But he still is the reason we were good this year and he wasn't "not trying" or "already thinking about the NBA" or whatever. He's just a young 19 year old player with some big positives and big flaws.

Please go and prove what an embarrassment you'll be in the league after that gutless and weak performance tonight. You played with no heart and no effort...like this wasn't the biggest stage in college basketball.

You will forever be remembered as a good college player, you have no future in the NBA.

Did Wfu22fan hack you? He's the reason we played in the post season, snowflake.

Left much to be desired tonight but best of luck in the League, JC.

Chris Givens 2.0. He gone. And nobody but us will remember he was even here.

holy hell, literally every one of your posts sucks

Whether Collins stays or goes, we're still two years away from Manning getting enough talent to compete with the very best teams at this level. We don't have the personnel on both sides of the ball yet to be truly elite.

He was totally dominated physically the last two games by LeDay and whoever the fuck #4 was tonight (no idea what his name is). He simply is not physically ready for the NBA right now. Which means he'll obviously go.

Can you blame him? I mean honestly, sticking around, the chances he gets that much stronger and better defensively are slim. The chances he comes back and get his game picked apart and costs himself a lot of money is high.

Do most players leaving drop out of classes during the spring semester to prepare for the draft?

Elite? We're average at best right now. Looong way to go before we're an elite team.

DM needs to move JC to the 4 and Moore and SJM need to develop in the post. He works in his lateral quickness, strength and midrange game, NBA post no, he can't hold his position.

This is the truth. By getting to the tourney this year, we were definitely ahead of schedule. The 2018 recruiting class will be extremely important.

If Collins thought for a minute he might stay we'd have won by 10 tonight.

The only silver lining of this pathetic tournament exit is that our interior defense will almost certainly improve after JC's exit. Manning will have to work to replace his offensive production, but the 20 point game streak has drastically overrated Collin's value to our team.

Agreed. If we can replace Wilbekin and Dinos with high end three and four star guys, we now have a program and not just a good team.

He's gonna have a huge uphill battle in the pros whether he leaves now or next year. You can't teach or coach defensive effort, that one is and will always be on the individual player. When he wanted to play defense he performed well, when he wanted to maximize his minutes to maximize his offensive output maximize his chance at being a lottery pick he chose to minimize his defensive presence and effort. With that mentality I won't be sad to see him gone. Good luck in the d league big guy, we won't forget you.
