Steve Forbes credibility watch

Cam, even when healthy, has looked like a very good pro overseas, never an NBA player.
You’re probably right. The counterargument is Cam has Nick Nurse on his side, plus KD acknowledged Cam’s NBA potential, and KD has a better eye test than any of us. NBA is so difficult to get into.

I don’t think Cam is getting enough credit for injuring his wrist and channeling his endless energy to become one of the best defensive stoppers in the league.

I love that Forbes defended Cam and apologized to Cam and took the blame for not saving a timeout regarding the end of UVA. Good coaches always defend their players.

Every time we beat the fuck out of an opponent I like to skip back a few pages on this thread an read all about how Forbes is a not a team builder and needs to recruit better and is a bad in game coach.
Yes you should, because wins like this highlight those points (outside of recruiting, which I have never brought up). Clearly the talent is there, and he easily brings it out in the friendly confines of the Joel. The lack of consistency and bad in game adjustments when we aren't simply kicking the shit out of someone reiterates those concerns. These wild swings indicate there is a major hole somewhere in his ability.

retweeting a highlight is not the same thing as "acknowledging cam's NBA potential"

Thank you for explaining that to me, Elite level middle school soccer coach!

Consistency is built over time.

This win, the close UVA game, the State win, and the blowout Syracuse game are all good late season growth indicators for this year. We've had far more positive signs of trending in the right direction over the past month, than we have had with any detractors.

He has been a coach for like 30 years. He has had plenty of time to figure out actual in-game coaching.

We're 6-6 over our last 12 games. We blew out Pitt and Cuse, and got conversely worked by UNC and Duke. A close UVA game is the same as any other loss given their slow-down style; a 2 point loss is the same as a 10 point loss against any other team. We blow out teams when we are hyped up at home, but we've lost every decent road game we've played. Those are signs of bad coaching. We're not "trending" anywhere but wildly oscillating back and forth to mediocre.

I want to know what the road curfew policy is. Maybe it should be changed...becasue it clearly isn't working. Road games are business trips. Time to start acting like it

“worked by Duke?” WTF? You must not have watched that game.

Maybe that’s the problem. Perhaps we need to let their girlfriends and a fraternity group go with them so they can do the normal things they do at home the night before a game.

I’m sure some of y’all were just the life of the party when you were here. The only team that’s blown us out on the road is UNC

I know you’re joking but when I was in school they stayed in hotels the night before home games too.

We already know they bring big screens on which they play video games

It's pretty well known in the combat sports world that you never have sex the night before a match (unless you're Rhonda Rousey  )
Maybe they are watching porn on those big screens or they are finding some strange. They clearly don't have their legs on the road.
