The ACC To Open It's First Sports Bar/Cafe

do people commonly have layovers in RDU? if not, seems like they would've been better served by putting this in Charlotte where you have people who could linger for a few hours.

Very good point. I fly out at 6:30 a.m. and return at 7:00 p.m. No time to stop at a restaurant. I also can't think of likely layover opportunities for many passengers. I guess there is a chance that some Southwest flights will have layovers in Raleigh, but I do not know for sure....

My only experience in RDU was a layover. One of BWI/DCA -> RDU -> LHR. Weirdest route ever.

Usually my flight from RDU to TPA is a plane change from BWI. Another factor is that a lot of people who fly out of RDU live outside the area so they may get there early just in case.

Completely unrelated to the restaurant, BWI and RDU are very good airports. My only issue with BWI is that feels like the rental cars are in a different time zone. Good airport though.

Also, if you have seen the advertisement with the guy in the parachute ad for Duke Med in the airport at RDU, I used to work with him.
