The NCAA is terrible.
The president (Mark Emmert) is still close personal friends with Nick Saban, a relationship that began during his time as Chancellor at LSU.
The head of the NCAA enforcement committee (Derrick Crawford) (the one who decides which potential violations to investigate) is an Alabama grad.
There is a reason Bama has dominated college football the last 5 years. Besides having the best coach in the country, they are literally untouchable by the NCAA. There is no coincidence that every story of potential impropriety out of Tuscaloosa quickly goes away now.
Just this season Yahoo broke a story on DJ Fluker being paid by agents while at Bama, complete with tons of physical evidence like photographs of checks. A month later there was a confirmed report of a strength coach there giving Clinton Ha Ha Dix money as a "loan" which the school actually admitted to. Both cases were quickly swept under the rug and at this time the NCAA has no plans to further investigate.
The NCAA must have better things to do like keep irrelevant toothpaste freshmen off the basketball court.
