The NCAA decided to help us out against Colgate

The NCAA is terrible.

The president (Mark Emmert) is still close personal friends with Nick Saban, a relationship that began during his time as Chancellor at LSU.

The head of the NCAA enforcement committee (Derrick Crawford) (the one who decides which potential violations to investigate) is an Alabama grad.

There is a reason Bama has dominated college football the last 5 years. Besides having the best coach in the country, they are literally untouchable by the NCAA. There is no coincidence that every story of potential impropriety out of Tuscaloosa quickly goes away now.

Just this season Yahoo broke a story on DJ Fluker being paid by agents while at Bama, complete with tons of physical evidence like photographs of checks. A month later there was a confirmed report of a strength coach there giving Clinton Ha Ha Dix money as a "loan" which the school actually admitted to. Both cases were quickly swept under the rug and at this time the NCAA has no plans to further investigate.

The NCAA must have better things to do like keep irrelevant toothpaste freshmen off the basketball court.

The NCAA could somewhat redeem themselves, at least in my opinion, if they would throw the book at UNC over the PJ Hairston situation.

But they are like the bully who beats up on 99 lb. weaklings like Colgate while carefully avoiding the big boys like Alabama and UNC.

I'm really surprised that its member institutions put up with this.

No sweat!

4 out of 5 board members surveyed still think that we will win!:D

"“You know what’s crazy?” Harries continued. “There’s one player on Colgate (Murphy Burnatowski) who plays for the Canadian (development) national team. So the NCAA says you can play in Europe against the U.S., Russia, Brazil, Australia, the Czech Republic and Sweden, but you can’t play in a church league. The whole thing is absurd.”

Unfortunately, where the NCAA is concerned, that’s not uncommon."

What's even more ridiculous is how Manziel, UNC and Miami got off so easily. They had pictures of Manziel. They had pictures of Haith and Shapiro. They had pictures of Shapiro with players in clubs. They had massive testimony against UNC.

There is not reasonable way to justify these decisions, but they do screw kids like this, Dez Bryant and the kick returner from Colorado.

The NCCA has reversed this decision. He can play Friday.

Looks like Wellman's position on the committee is already paying off.

Exactly. This is equivalent to the Rollins can only play man to man stipulation.

He clearly struck a deal with Wellman. Expect him to struggle.
