As of this morning, Alex Rodriguez is officially back as a member of the New York Yankees with 3 yrs/$61 million left on his contract.

October 30, 9am: Eligible players officially become free agents
November 3, 5pm: Last day to make QO to eligible free agents
November 4: Free agents may begin signing with new clubs
November 10: Last day for players with QO to accept
November 10-12: GM Meetings in Phoenix
November 20: All players to be protected from Rule 5 draft must be added to roster

Which one of you ahole's teams is going to trade for BJ Upton?
 
Unfortunately, I think we may have seen the last of Stud Norris in an O's uniform. Will be interesting to see what they can get for him on the open market.

Seriously though, I did read a fanpost here about how the O's would be a good potential match-up for an Upton trade. Maybe Jimenez for Upton.
 
That's almost exactly what one poster on our MD board in our giant O's thread brought up. Not sure if he even saw that article
 
I would do that trade in part because at the very LEAST you could try to make Jimenez a 1-inning reliever and maybe he's effective in that role. There doesn't seem to be anything analogous the Braves can do with BJ Upton. A late inning defensive replacement/pinch runner?
 
Did not realize that Victor Martinez is a free agent. He is 35, but he led baseball in OPS in 2014, and had a ridiculous 32/42 HR/K ratio last year.
 
Really curious to see what the Nats do with LaRoche. Easily one of my favorite players.

We will know by the end of the weekend as the Nats have 3 days to exercise their end of the mutual option. Really don't see the Nats taking that step, and even if they do, ALR only stays if he also exercises the option. Would be shocked.
 
Regression is going to be a bitch for the Royals. Probably a 78-82 win team. Infante at 2nd for 3 more years is looking like our worst contract right now. We have need at DH/RF/utility IF and maybe backup catcher. I liked the idea of Gattis as DH/backup C but don't know what it would take to get him.

Just please cut Aaron Crow.
