the official new supreme court thread - Very political

Republicans have already staked out the position of being against activist judges, so it can't be possible that their judges are activists.
 
It’s completely ignoring all the precedent around the 6th amendment. What’s next? Overturning Gideon v Wainwright?
 
The Constitution is only what 5+ SCOTUS justices say it is. The sooner you figure that out, the better.
 
With a broken legislative branch, it's a shame we don't have 5 people on the Supreme Court who care about the lives of children enough to act on gun control.

The rise after the lapse of the assault weapons ban was brought up by multiple guests on CNN this morning.

Well, this explains one reason why the Republican party was so intent on David McCormick giving up his legal battle in the Senate primary race in PA - he was arguing in court that undated ballots should be counted.

I'm pretty tired of Samuel Alito trying to decide the results of Pennsylvania elections, tbh.
