The Revolution Crapped Its Pants

Made the WXII piece... surprised to see anything aired... not much of what I said made it (the JB and RW stuff was essentially cut out).

We did get some good shots of us from that piece though.

Does that mean that I am overwhelmingly in support of Ron Wellman and our current regime? Absolutely not. It's just that we're old and show it in different ways. Don't confuse the two and hold it against the #bzzout protest that not all of us were willing to wear a sign. It's our team and I believe we should support them at the game. The politicing can be done elsewhere.

When I traveled down to the Anaheim classic the last year we were good (the site of the infamous rjgif) he was the only Wake fan I met that flew out from the east coast to watch the games. Easy to tell because there were only fifty people in the stands, and forty of them were related to James Johnson.
 
So we had two people at the game 'protesting'? Kudos to them for at least following through. We have a lot of excuses why Wake doesn't protest, but if the fan base is 'that upset' you'd think the movement could amass maybe 10 fans at the game. That would only be .03% of the living alumni and current students.

I have no doubt that Wellman pays someone to read the boards so he knows what is being discussed. 'Organize' a protest and get 100 fans that can be heard on TV and Radio, maybe he'll raise an eyebrow. Get a couple of people that get a sound bite on the local news, he's just emboldened to continue his current direction.
 
So, did VT's speech make it onto the news or just the shot of his sign? Either way, pos rep.

I've never doubted that, but it does create two interesting situations:

1. Wellman knows people on the boards are very upset and sees a few people show up to the game for a protest. Win for Wellman
2. Posting all the strategies to affect our coaching situation allows Wellman to be completely prepared for what happens. Win for Wellman.

Of course sometimes you have to wonder. A lot of his public statements just irritate people more, you'd think he'd be able to manage his public comments better than he has. All he seems to do is incite more discontent when he speaks.
