If graduated taxes are income redictribution ALL taxes are income redistribution by definition. They take money from one person or company and give to someone else.

Thus even GOP tax concepts are income redicstribution.

"Would you sleep with me for $5?"
"No."
"would you sleep with me for $1,000,000?"
"OK."
"Now that we know what you are. Let's work on the real price."

There is not a single argument for unequal tax rates except for the "notion" of "fairness." And that is what the debate should be about. Both parties can demonize and victimize to their heart's content but at the end of the day we have to come together and decide who gets to keep what they earn and how much the federal government should be allowed to take. And when 40+% don't pay a dime outside of withholding taxes you have to start thinking the game is already in their favor.
