The Sox

And now, off to the West Coast, where the Sox have (more often than not) played badly the last few years. Jed Lowrie had better be in the lineup every day...
 
After 10 days off Lackey back on the bump. great. hopefully the cavernous coliseum will hold the balls in the yard.
 
It was good to see Salty have a good game at the plate. Jed is quickly making a case that he is the day to day guy in the whole. Hopefully the Sox get their west coast acts together.
 
I don't think there is any other pitcher in baseball that owns the Red Sox quite as much as Brett Anderson. God forbid the Yankees ever get that guy.
 
Anderson definitely balked on that pick off of the laser show.
 
Check out their line up last night, they have 6 guys, count em 6, that are batting in the 100's. Pitching is not their problem, hitting is and will remain that way until they get off their butts and get people who can hit the baseball.

Ya Lackey pitched well last night but the Sox had 1 hit through 7 innings.
 
hopefully clay can rebound a bit today too and the bats WAKE UP. marco scutaro is in the 6 hole today

The umpires definitely sucked last night. What was worse was calling Ellsbury out on the steal attempt later in the game. Either way, though, it would have been awfully tough to beat Anderson.
 
love jd in the leadoff spot. has good abs works pitchers, gets on base, not a base stealer but a good base runner.
 
ughh, clay looks terrible, no control, everything is up, stuff looks flat. he might be joining phil hughes in the minors pretty soon.
 
sox need another catcher bad. varitek cant hit at all and salty cant field at all. also crawford needed to get a better jump on that he had to know tek was gonna k, awful strike em out throw em out.
 
Great win today. Some bats woke up, Bucky got it done, Lowrie continued his tear. Really not sure how Jenks is gonna work out, though.
 
seems like the gameplan today was swing early and swing often. not typical red sox baseball. I'm down.

Brett Anderson is disgusting so I can't really be upset about tuesday's game.
