Hell of a long con by Schumer. Convince a lifelong Democrat to run as a Republican appealing to the worst characteristics of conservatives. Get the rubes to the point where they go along with anything he does. Get him to disavow Republican leadership, then gradually pivot toward working with the Dems. By next October, Trump will be endorsing Dems in order to drain the Republican swamp.

Donald is such a fraud. This is amazing.

Art of the deal - democrats basically get every thing they want and lock down what most rational people said all along (no wall). Meanwhile Donald's press secretary is forced to say no this didn't happen. The far right who supported Donald gets basically nothing.

Are republicans tired of winning yet? There's just been so damn much.

A lot of that base will be available to the right Dem candidate. Biden could take a chunk. He has some charisma.

Someone with Kennedy policies could capture some of that group. A Jim Webb with more charisma would take away a huge amount of Trump's base.

If Dems run a "Warren type" candidate, Trump's base will solidify and will win 2020.
 
Donald's approval rating is in the 30's. The democrats could run a lot of candidates right now and likely beat him

That's a great point. I've been thinking about which candidates are likely to have the best appeal to the rust belt and some of the swing states. Dems have plenty of options but I'm certainly not convinced the party structure will get it right.
 
Moonz is right and he's wrong.

Most of them are Republicans, historically. Now, they identify more as Trumpists. Whatever he says, goes, regardless of how they felt about the issue 2 years ago.
 
Oh he's right that Donald cares about nobody but Donald - that's what almost everyone on here has said the entire time Donald was running. Moonz is just a poor soul because he allegedly voted for this idiot.

This has not proven to be very historically true. The only subset of Trumps base amenable to Democrats are the populist leaning independents who want outsider candidates to upset the status quo. Joe Biden is not that.
 
Looks like someone in the tags is upset about their vote for a total buffoon. Voter's remorse was bound to happen when you supported a sexist piece of orange garbage.
