The Tragedy of the American Military

How is clone technology progressing? Then we can fight wars without putting anybody in harms way (except for all the people the clones are killing).

You'll have to ask Senator Palpatine about that. Pretty sure he chairs the committee overseeing that project.

What would if it really came down to it?

Drones won't win a war against China.

The F-35 isn't going to win a war with China either.

Drones can pull G-forces that would kill a human pilot. Give that technology a few decades of development and they could replace human piloted fighter planes. For ground attack, seems like developing a drone version of the A-10 would give you the support our ground troops desire without putting an expensive to train human pilot in harm's way.

How about we not go to war against China? I mean, is fighting over when a New Year starts really worth it?

At the rate drone technology is progressing, the shelf life for the F-35 will be pretty short even if they could fix all of its problems.

Until the drone fleet becomes self-aware and kills us all. I saw the movie. For some reason the drones communicate with an Austrian accent.

Very accurate. Give a 13 year old kid in Georgia with a PS4 remote access to a drone or two, and they could wreck things without having developed a conscious or understanding the consequences of their actions.
