Totally Unofficial 2015/16 Premier League Thread (NWT)

Everton's best players are all fairly young.

Stones is 20, Barkley and Lukaku are 21, Besic is 22, McCarthy is 24, Coleman is 26.

I say dump everyone else, keep this core, and burn the shit to the ground.

That Garbutt and Ledson haven't gotten meaningful time in this lost season is a crime.

1 win in 13 matches. I'm fucking done with it. Fire Roberto Martinez.

Welcome to the light

All this Everton team needs is someone who's good with youth players and knows something about TACTICS. Match made in heaven.

I'd keep Jags and McGeady around, but yeah everyone else can go. Time to start bringing some young guys through.

And Roberto should get until the end of the season, but unless we win Europa or finish in the top half, he should go.

Dump Baines?

Baines has been really poor this season.

Whoscored has Baines as Everton's best player by a pretty wide margin....

Sign of how poor the team is.

Dunno what any of those stats indicate, but he's been poor at the things we need him the most for: set pieces, wide support, creativity.

I haven't really been impressed by Besic in the 5 or 6 Everton games I've watched this year.

I haven't really been impressed by Besic in the 5 or 6 Everton games I've watched this year.

Yesterday was his best match of the season. He gives the ball away too easily and fouls too much (mostly because his technique in tackling is...suspect). His work rate is outstanding, though.

Seems to me work rate isn't really enough to keep him on a top half PL team if he can't keep the ball and can't tackle. And he's a holding mid.

I'll admit that I only saw the last 30mins of the game yesterday.

He can tackle. He wins the ball really well. It's just sometimes he does it really, really recklessly.

And his distribution yesterday was a good example of what he can do. He played some outstanding long balls and through balls.

He just isn't a great runner with the ball. He gets dispossessed or caught in possession too easily.
