He also had the most tackles in teh top 5 leagues. Literally only 7 players dribbled past him last season:

Leroy Sane, Bernardo Silva, Sadio Mane, Felipe Anderson, Luciano Vietto, Johann Berg Gudmundsson and Stuart Armstrong.

The overpay is that he's limited in his ability to cross the ball and still doesn't pass well in tight spaces, nor is he good in the air or with his left foot. But that's a 21 year old.
 
Spurs and Arsenal are apparently going after St. Etienne's William Saliba. Young French centerback so you know he's the shit. Liverpool going with the ginger Dutchie, though, breaking my heart.

I'm firmly in the camp that AWB is a terrific buy for United. It's an expensive purchase but he's still a kid, is already really good, and will play right back for them for the next 6-8 years if he stays healthy and comes anywhere close to matching his potential.

FWIW that article references Spurs first official bid (€45m) and not the one being reported today in France, which is €62m + €13m in add-ons. That one could go through.
