Trip to New Orleans with the wife

And should be fine for any other activities unless you go to some non touristy or far out areas

don't rent a car. i went there for four days for a wedding a few weeks back, rented a car and paid like $40/night to park it at the hotel. i didn't use it other than going to and from the airport. you can walk anywhere if you are planning on spending most of your time in the french quarter area.

That's what I've read - I don't think we would do anything that requires a car other than to/from the airport. Just didn't know if there was an easy way.

AWAR, my friends and I went to NOLA the weekend after Mardi Gras and were told it is the slowest weekend of the year. That being said Bourbon Street was still insane by my standards. Taxi from the airport.

Awesome, thank you! I wanted to make sure that we weren't going at a super expensive/crowded time. I'm sure their "slow" is still my "crazy" so it should be perfect. Good thing, since we booked our plane tickets last night!

There's an airport shuttle that's cheaper than a taxi if you're by yourself.

If you're going to share a cab, its a flat fee of $33 downtown to the major hotels near the FQ.

MOTHERS was my jam. Sooooo delicious.

much better po boy shops than Mothers

Cool, but I was quite pleased. I also got their platter w/ jambalaya, etouffe, tater salad and other goodies, wow. Tasted pretty great to me

FYI if someone gives you beads you have to show them your titties

Is that what those are for?

I think I'd be kind of creeped out if someone threw beads to a pregnant lady.

Flat fee info is good - thanks! There will be 2 of us.

Oh then the Taxi is the way to go. I stayed at The Roosevelt, you should at least take a peek inside, its beautiful and the Sazerac bar there is where Huey Long hung a bit.

Roosevelt is remodeled and nice! I was there when a bartender chick asked me to go to the hotel w/ her and flush toilets. They were making sure the renovations were good and had a person in each room (or most of them) all flush the toilets at the same time. It was cool and we got free booze after and she was hot and wanted the D

In the early throws of helping plan a bachelor party in NOLA. Any recommendations of places to stay, or musts for a bachelor party?

I have never been to NOLA, and I am pretty jacked about the excuse to go.

FYI the strip clubs there are basically brothels and there is a Vegas worthy casino and some of the best food and bars on planet earth

great place for bachelor party
