Truck plows into crowd at Christmas street market in Berlin

It could be anyone of course, but, anyone willing to wager on the perp's religion.

Is it possible to stop attacks like this? I hope so, but I don't see how

Back in the day we used to just assume it was some old dude that shouldn't be allowed to drive anymore

The "fa lalalalallahu akbar" tag is in incredibly poor taste. Also, really funny.

The truck belonged to a Polish firm. The driver, presumably not the the perpetrator, was the cousin of the owner of the company and returning with a shipment of metal from Italy. His first name was Ariel, and he had last talked with the owner around 4 PM. The owner of the truck said he had known Ariel all his life and did not think it was possible that he was the perpetrator. Best bet at this point is that someone hijacked the truck, shot and killed the driver, and drove into the crowd of Christmas shoppers at around 40 mph.

Not surprising but it appears the terrorist came as a refugee. Germany has a real mess on its hands.

Sounds like Germany is not so confident they grabbed the right man. Still searching for a suspect but they don't appear to have any leads at this point.

Look where he's from Star Wars geeks:
German police are hunting a Tunisian man over the Berlin market attack after finding documents in the truck, according to reports.
The identity document was found under the driver's seat of the truck which ploughed into crowds at the Christmas market on Monday evening, killing 12 people.

Der Spiegel reported that the document was in the name of Anis A, born in 1992 in Tataouine, Tunisia.

The suspect was also known to have two aliases, according to the website.
