Trump Committed Tax Fraud & Insurance Fraud & Bank Fraud

"...based, in part, on filings by the New York Attorney General on January 18, 2022..."

So they stepped away when the NY AG showed them some documents.

It will be interesting to see what the "unwaivable conflict of interest" turns out to be. Is it possible Mazars and,/or some of its people could be facing some sort of charges in the future?

Plea deal?

just an incredible way to sidestep responsibility

Trump is the perfect candidate and representative for the modern conservative. All these financial regulations getting in the way of a hard-working and smart businessman just trying to achieve the American dream. Im sure 2 and 2 and others admire the courage and dignity he has displayed in resisting the intrusive socialist gazpacho all up in his shit

They were only issuing compilations which entail no audit procedures.

It's only fraud if the accounting is not perfect. If the lamestream media was honest they'd admit this accounting is top notch. Perfect. Only the most perfect accountants.

So Mazars, the Trump Organization designated accounting firm, was simply collecting documents into folders? Maybe adding up stuff? The accounting firm doesn't check numbers when producing "Statements of Financial Condition?"

Correct, unless they were engaged to do an audit which they were not

I mean you shouldn't prepare something that you know is incorrect but a compilation is basically no auditing procedures you're not verifying anything you're just taking what they give you at face value.

So how would they know they can't be relied upon after ten years ?

I would assume they would have received information that contradicts numbers provided by Trump.

Oh I have no doubt that they've known for years that these numbers were b*******. When this all came up they probably realize that they have some glaring inconsistencies between how they presented things on his tax returns and how they presented them in these statements. I mean they have very limited exposure in the situation but it's not nonexistent w

I imagine it is exactly like a lawyer when the lawyer later found out it was used to perpetuate a fraud.

The "unwaivable" conflict arose when the accounting firm became a witness against their client (Trump)

Nothing is going to happen.
