This story is nuts.
The Trump administration strong armed Ecuador (threatened to pull military support) and other countries in an effort to kill a WHO resolution recommending mothers around the world breastfeed their infants. The resolution also encouraged countries to "strive to limit the inaccurate or misleading marketing of breast milk substitutes."
At this point you're probably wondering why the Trump administration would act like complete asshats about breastfeeding - something universally seen as one of the best things (and cheapest) a mother can do to raise a healthy child.
